We cannot be held responsible for delivery failures* due to incorrect shipping information, receiver refusing or no longer resides at that address to accept package. Address corrections are possible using the UPS MyChoice service and are subject to additional UPS fees and charges. Planet Bakery promises to deliver only the finest products. All orders are normally shipped from our facility within 2-5 days via UPS Ground FREE of charge in the 48 contiguous United States. Orders that are placed with destinations that require 4-5 transit business days in transit will be deferred to the following Monday. Priority shipping is available and offered as an option during the check out process for time sensitive deliveries. We normally avoid shipping through the weekend even if an upgrade (air shipping option) has been purchased and reserve the right to defer to the following Monday to ensure freshness. For orders required early or mid-week, we recommend a UPS air ship option which is the more reliable to ensure timely delivery and maximum freshness. UPS normal operations are Monday thru Friday and while we offer our customer the ability to provide a delivery date, we make no guarantees - especially during the holiday.
We take all the necessary steps to ensure that your orders are protected during shipment. We enclose the pastry box in a durable poly-bag to protect from the elements. Should you discover the package to be opened or damaged, do not sign for it. Tell UPS that you are rejecting the damaged shipment. Go to our customer care page immediately. You must report damaged shipments to Planet Bakery within 24 hours of delivery. Orders that have been ship confirmed cannot be canceled or changed once they depart our facility.
Residents of Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska or destinations that require greater than 5 days in transit will be assessed an additional shipping and handling fees which will be calculated and sent back via Email for your approval. International packages may be subject to duties, taxes, and brokerage fees according to Country specific law and are not included as part of the shipping and handling charges.
